Mallie & Charlie met me in the parking lot of Arabia Mountain for their engagement photos, and their massive smiles as I pulled in were proof that this would be an amazing session!
First of all, it was Charlie’s birthday! So we already had a reason to celebrate, but even more, we were there to celebrate their engagement and get excited for their wedding day! I always love when my couples book engagement sessions with me for so many reasons. It gives a chance to get to know them in front of my camera, and it gives them a chance to feel comfortable having pictures taken by me. But above all that, it’s a reason to celebrate in the middle of planning!
I’ve learned from planning my own wedding that you need to take time and celebrate with each other that you’re engaged. Your engagement session is the perfect way to do that!
I loved Charlie and Mallie’s attitude going into the session! Those massive smiles never left their faces! For Charlie, this was the best way he could celebrate his birthday. Seriously, what an awesome groom?!
After I arrived, they did some final touch ups to their outfits, and we set out for location number one! There is this neat ruin down a lower path at Arabia Mountain that has such a cool vibe (and it blocks the bright sun)! We started there and walked along the cool texture of the mountain.
While I love this first spot, it’s nothing compared to the view at the top…
Mallie & Charlie chose to have two outfits, so we changed into their second outfit and made our way to the base of the actual mountain. Mallie’s floral dress fit perfectly with the textures and colors of Arabia Mountain! Also, they both have these big, blue eyes that just capture your attention so fully! Basically, they were a dream to photograph!
I had so much fun with both of you! I can’t even fathom how much fun your wedding will be, but you should know that I’m definitely looking forward to it! Enjoy these photos, but more importantly, keep enjoying each other. Y’all are the best!
