This was my first time shooting at Neverland Farms, and when arrived, my jaw dropped. I felt I was transported from the North Georgia mountains to the tropical tundra of Hawaii. It was incredible!
We began the day with Mary Kate and her ladies. All of them were so prepared – Mary Kate even had her bag of details ready for me to photograph when I arrived! We walked around the property, and as we began photographing Mary Kate and her friends, the color palette she picked out for the day came together like a perfectly cultivated Pinterest board. We kept saying “this looks so perfect!” about 80 times in the span of 20 minutes!! And as a newly engaged lady myself, I was totally taking notes!
Mary Kate & Andrew decided not to do a First Look, so I photographed the gentlemen and prepared for the ceremony! Neverland Farms has a beautiful tradition of giving the bride and her father a “Father-Daughter First Look” and then the bride and father arrive in a horse-drawn carriage!!! How cool is that??
I had so many favorite moments from MK & Andrew’s wedding day, but one stands out more because it literally gave me goosebumps! After the bridal party had made their way to the altar, Andrew was in position, and the flower girls had distributed their petals down the aisle, all went quiet. A bell sounded and everyone in their seats looked around, searching for Mary Kate. A few seconds went by, and then you could hear it, the dusting sound of horse hooves on gravel growing louder and louder. Everyone in the audience turned and saw Mary Kate and her dad in the carriage, veil trailing in the wind behind them!
Mary Kate & Andrew, thank you so much for giving me the honor of capturing your wedding day. I know how special these moments are to you and I hope you cherish these images for a lifetime!! I’m pretty stoked that your wedding has already been featured on Lanier Bridal! And a HUGE thank you to Neverland Farms and their amazing team of vendors for making this day so special and flawless!
