It’s the worst! Way back when I began shooting, I remember awkward photography sessions all too well. At the time, I didn’t know how to help a couple feel comfortable in front of my camera. It’s hard!
Honestly, when I meet a couple for the first time before starting their engagement session, they’re nervous! Heck, I’m nervous, too – we’re all nervous! These photos mean a lot, and it’s my job to make all of my couples feel comfortable and well taken care of. It’s also my job to lead the engagement session and create a mood where they feel welcome to be themselves!
I’ve found that by starting off the shoot with a 15 minute cushion and explaining a few simple poses (and another tip or two!), everyone is much more relaxed, and the session is a breeze!!
Watch the video for more details, and as always, let me know if you have any questions!
