Atlanta + Coastal Georgia + The Southeast

let's be friends!

2018 was a whirlwind of a year!

Going into January, I was so excited for 2018 to begin. Most of that excitement came from my own wedding in May (sorry, my lovely brides, but it was my favorite!). I remember looking at my calendar for the year and seeing all of the weddings that I’d get to capture, and I thought to myself, “how did I get to be this lucky?”

With weddings all over the Southeast, I definitely did some traveling! I captured weddings at so many incredible venues, from the mountains of North Georgia at the Waterfall Club to the historic architecture at Callanwolde Estate. From Neverland Farms (and their romantic, glassy ponds) to the charming, rustic Yellowleaf Creek Mill in Alabama. Each venue matched my couples’ personalities and brought to life their perfect wedding days.

More incredible than the destinations were the couples I got to meet. It’s no flippant feeling, getting to capture someone’s wedding day. In fact, the question I get most often when someone discovers that I’m a wedding photographer is, “aren’t weddings filled with so much drama?” And the answer is “yes!” But it’s the BEST kind. I get to be there at the start of my couples’ marriages.

Weddings are exciting, but overall, heartfelt moments fill my weekends.

Like at Mallory and Ian’s wedding day, when Mallory’s sweet grandfather officiated their ceremony. He was so overcome with emotion for their day that he had to take a seat during their vows!

And at Katie and Ryan’s reception when Katie took a part her bouquet so that every girl who participated in the bouquet toss got their token of love.

How Charlie and Genesis spent the last few moments of their reception slowly dancing together, crying happy tears because their day was everything they’d hoped for.

It would be so easy for me to sit here and list the beautiful moments that I witnessed at each of these wedding days, but I’m no writer. In fact, I’m a much better photographer! So I’ll stop right here and let my photos do the talking.

But first, to my couples in 2018…

You have given me the most wonderful year. Each one of you brought me into your lives and treated me more like part of your family than just a wedding vendor. Your hugs, excitement, and encouragement brought so much joy into my life, and I’m a better person at the end of 2018 than I was at the start. That is all because of you! Thank you for bringing me along for your most precious days! I appreciate you all more than you could ever know, and it was an incredible honor to capture these moments for you. Cheers!
