Barnsley Resort Wedding in Manor House Ruins
Carey and Chris held their late summer wedding at the beautiful ruins of Barnsley Resort in Adairsville, Georgia. This property is a dream to photograph, with beautiful, forgotten elegance mixed with a southern, comfortable setting. The north Georgia resort provided the perfect getaway for wedding festivities for the couple and their guests!
I began the day with Carey and her bridesmaids in one of the cottages at Barnsley. We celebrated the morning with a champagne pop and a swig of the buried bourbon from the evening before (one of my favorite southern traditions!) Soon it was time for Carey and Chris to meet, and what better first look spot than the Manor House ruins?
Carey and Chris’ first look was so sweet! We all cheered as they saw each other for the first time, and I giggled as their wedding party and family watched from afar. The day turned out to be one of the hottest days of September, but these two were troopers and didn’t let the heat bother them! White Vine Weddings and Laura Jane’s Flowers put together a stunning outdoor ceremony with the garden ruins as the backdrop. Carey and Chris danced the night away as 7 Sharp 9 led the dance floor with a reception that had me shaking my hips a little (and nobody wants to see me dance!) The entire wedding day was lovely, vibrant and I will cherish these memories so much!
Thank you
Carey & Chris, thank you for bringing me along to such a fun and full day of love and cheerfulness! Ever since we met at your Piedmont Park engagement session, your enthusiasm for each other and the finer things in life is something that inspires me to go after everything I love and long for. Congratulations!
