A year full of joy

Each year, I love looking back through all of my images and picking out my favorites from my weddings, engagements, anniversaries, and portrait sessions. I’m sure you can guess, it takes a long time to go through the thousands of images I’ve collected throughout the year, but I love doing it because it reminds me of how lucky I am to have clients and couples who trust me with their most valuable memories! I get a chance to reflect back on everything 2017 brought me, and by the time I’ve finished collecting images, I’m filled with joy that I did. Plus, there’s nothing like an image to help you relive those special experiences!

This year was my second year in business and the year I went full-time (I made the leap in April)! 2017 brought me to so many of my favorite venues, including Neverland Farms, where Mary Kate & Andrew said I do…and were published in The Knot magazine! I shot my second Charleston wedding (please let there be more!), photographed a dazzling Country Club of the South wedding, and I got to see my own brother get married to his high school sweetheart and love-of-his-life, Leigh!

I traveled all over, including a conference in Utah, where I was exposed to the most beautiful, snowy landscape I’ve ever seen (and where this gorgeous Anniversary session took place)! And speaking of gorgeous venues… I was able to photograph so many beautiful engagements, as well as our own, at Arabia Mountain, my all-time favorite landscape near Atlanta!  Having our own engagement photos taken here felt like a dream, but nothing was more dreamlike than when Garrett proposed to me on Sunset Cliffs this year!!

More than all of this, I’m thankful.

I can’t explain how incredible it feels to be so trusted by all of my couples. You have all welcomed me into your families to capture your wedding days and lifetime moments. Every year that goes by continues to bring me more and more joy in my career and passion as a wedding photographer, and I want to say my most heartfelt thank you to all of YOU who have supported and encouraged me this year! I serve the best people in the world!

I hope you enjoy this fun little recap of my 2017. Each one of these images was an honor to capture!

At the conference in Utah, I was able to shoot my first wedding shoot with FILM! It was so fun, and taught me a lot about the film photography process. I plan to dig more into this in 2018!

Give me ALL the snow!

Cheers to 2017! I can’t wait to see all that 2018 has in store!

Such beautiful photographs from an amazing photographer. When I saw your posted picture and comment of my husband and our daughter, I just lost it. It brought back such wonderful memories of that special day.
Thank you for capturing those special moments.
