If I wasn’t photographing couples, I’d be photographing small business owners. People who step out to create their own business are daring, unique, creative and B-R-A-V-E, and I am magnetically drawn me to them!
I started my own career as a photographer, scared to step out on my own. That fear led me to begin a business with another photographer – which was fun, don’t get me wrong – but it delayed what I truly wanted for myself: my own business.
Looking at these brave guys and gals who take on their art with hard work and business savvy gets me so pumped up to continue working on mine. After all, if we put in half the effort, we can expect half the results, right?
Needless to say at this point, I’m pretty stoked to celebrate this gal on the blog today! Heather is making her way as a wedding photographer and you know what? She’s putting in A-L-L the hard work it takes to get there!
I received an email from Heather a few months ago asking if there was anything she could do to learn from me on a wedding day. Carry my bags? She’ll do it. Get me water? ON IT. And y’all? It worked! Coincidentally, that was right before I got struck with a bad case of mono that landed me in the hospital. One of my sweet brides’ wedding days was approaching fast, and I didn’t think I’d be able to do the full day without help!
Insert Heather and her amazing heart for service.
Her help that day got me through Daniela & Andrew’s wedding with flying colors, and I’m so thankful for her! That right there shows how dedicated she is to the people she works with and the couples she serves!
Shout out to Heather’s wonderful faces!! She cracked me up all afternoon!
