Lucie, Lucie, Lucie. Girl, you rocked your senior portraits! Recently, I’ve had an influx of requests for senior photos. It all started with the lovely Ainslie, a student at my old high school, who wanted portraits taken with her horse, Maybe (y’all will fall in LOVE with them!). After her session, Ainslie said that she’d had so much fun that she already told her friends to hit me up for their senior portraits! Not two days later, and Lucie’s email dropped in my inbox!
That’s my favorite type of marketing, y’all. When my clients rave about me, it fills me with pure joy!
Lucie’s session was so much fun! I asked her what she had in mind for the location of her session, and she said she was hoping for an open field. I immediately knew where we could go! We started the day by the lake in Downtown Senoia Georgia. The library grounds are gorgeous, and while they’re heavily wooded with the good kind of trees, they’re also surrounded by a miniature lake cluttered with ducklings. It was the perfect place to start Lucie’s session! However, I knew that location number 2 would be my favorite, so we quickly changed into outfit two and headed to the spot!
After I graduated college, I quickly found a part time job as a barista in a cute café in Downtown Senoia. Senoia Coffee & Café became my second home, where I practiced my photography on the delicious food and lattés and met people whom I still count as close friends today. I loved working with the owners, David and Suzanne, and soon made a visit to their private property where David roasts all of the coffee beans for the shop!
When I saw their home, y’all my jaw dropped. It was GORGEOUS. Their property hosts rolling hills, horses and the most charming covered bridge I’ve ever seen! I knew some day I had to come back and use it as a backdrop! When Lucie described her preferred location…Suzanne & David’s home fit perfectly. They were so kind to let us use their property, and we had so much fun!
Lucie’s free spirit was a joy to work with!! Her mom even made a comment that the day would have been perfect if she’d just had a margarita in her hand! She showed up with the trendiest clothing (Lizard Thicket Boutique, I’m planning a trip to come see you before my engagement session!), and I couldn’t help but think she’d done a little modeling before. She’s an absolute natural!
Girl, you’re going to take the world by storm, and I’m so thankful I was able to take part in this adventurous life of yours! Thank you for trusting me with these timeless images of you! I hope you and your parents cherish them forever!
