Bride and groom at the fountain and steps of the Swan House in Atlanta

Orange & Yellow Color Inspiration for A Swan House Wedding

Orange & Yellow Color Inspiration for A Swan House Wedding

Here in Atlanta, early Spring means new blooms and warm weather. It’s the perfect season for an al fresco wedding and there’s no backdrop better than the historic setting of the Swan House in Atlanta.

With colorful inspiration from the warming of spring to summer, this inspiration editorial features a color palette of oranges, yellows and greens and wild garden florals amid the estate’s elegance. Like the Dazzling and Kennedy Occasions created a gorgeous outdoor tablescape every Atlanta socialite would love to dine at, mixed with the perfect Blackberry Apple cocktail (because we all need a little celebration)!

Lauren looked stunning in her Claire Pettibone gown featuring a yellow velvet ribbon at her waistline. I love this portrait of the them, and I love even more that Connor can’t stop staring at how beautiful his bride looks!

What pairs perfectly with a Blackberry Apple cocktail at dinner? A slice of Lemon Blackberry cake with buttercream frosting. This cake was as delicious as it was gorgeous!

This floral installation by Kennedy Occasions created an ethereal setting for Lauren and Connor’s vows. The pair was surrounded by florals, their family and friends.

I'm LAURA

welcome to my journal

This is where I love sharing recent weddings and sessions, my travels, and life with my husband, and our three pets. When I'm not capturing a wedding day, I'm often enjoying the outdoors with Garrett, playing with our pups, or finding a new place to call home for the weekend. My passion is telling love stories, and I hope I get to fall in love with telling yours.

let's meet!

THE JOURNAL

North Beach was the perfect location for Nicole and Rob's Tybee Island session. While they played with their pup, Lucy, I simply followed. We ran together on the sand, not worrying for once about dirty hems or windy hair.

Christie and Brian strayed from traditional southern clichés and played into the modern lines and motifs of Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta throughout their wedding design – from their paper to their florals.

I was honored to be able to capture my second photographer's sweet family for her birthday and Mother’s Day present. We played on the grounds of Meadowlark 1939 and came away with the most lovely photos of her and her family.
