Piedmont Park Atlanta Skyline Wedding

The words that come to mind when I think of Kristin & John’s wedding are faith & family…and Atlanta! Every detail of their day focused on glorifying God through their marriage and celebrating that love with others. And there were no shortage of city details throughout every part of the wedding! From their invitation suite with the Atlanta skyline to the view at their reception at the Piedmont Room overlooking Piedmont Park, literally every detail pointed to the city that brought them together. Kristin & John even put together welcome gifts for their guests that included all the Atlanta essentials: Coke, peach jelly beans, Georgia peanuts and a Varsity hat! How thoughtful!

Their love for family has been a constant throughout their relationship. The pair met at work (he was a pharmacy tech and Kristen was the nurse who would review and sign off medications for him), and their love grew over the years until one day, John knew he had to lock this amazing girl down! The day after her dad’s 60th birthday celebration, at a family breakfast, John asked Kristen to join him in the backyard. He then got down on one knee, and with all of their family and friends (and pups!) peeking through the back windows watching, he proposed!

What I most love about these two is that with them, I never felt like just a vendor. Kristen knew me from high school, but John and I were total strangers when they first inquired. And while we’ve only spent time together in person 2 times, every time we felt like old friends! They would ask about our wedding, Garrett and Guinness, and we would chat like old friends! It’s couples like Kristin & John that give me such passion for my job as a wedding photographer, and I loved getting to be a part of their big day!
