Atlanta + Coastal Georgia + The Southeast

let's be friends!

Last Saturday at Three Oaks Farm in LaGrange, Mallory and Ian’s family and friends witnessed a perfect wedding. According to her father’s toast, it was “a long time coming,” and everyone in attendance was overjoyed to see the new Mr. & Mrs. Agnew find their happy ending together!

A Three Oaks Farm Wedding

The day started at a small cottage near the venue. I arrived a little early and was pleasantly surprised to find that Mallory and her bridesmaids were already completely finished with hair and makeup one hour early! It was such a treat, and I loved getting to just hang out with the girls while I captured Mallory’s details. We talked about how they knew her, they took some polaroid pictures (how cool is that?) and just enjoyed the morning together! It was so calm and the perfect way to start a wedding day.

Just after noon, we made our way to Three Oaks Farm.

Y’all, I love this venue! The barn is nestled on the banks of a quiet lake, surrounded by trees. And despite Hurricane Florence hitting the east coast, we didn’t see a drop of rain until well into the reception! But I’m getting ahead of myself…

Soon after we arrived at Three Oaks Farm, it was time for Mallory & Ian’s first look! I love watching a bride and groom see each other for the first time on their wedding day! It used to be such a sweet moment to witness. Now? It’s even sweeter because it reminds me of my first look with Garrett. When Ian saw Mallory, he instantly took her in his arms and gave her the biggest hug. You could just feel how excited they both were to finally say “I do!”

My favorite moment of Mallory & Ian’s wedding day wasn’t exactly a moment, but several moments…and the person who led them. Mallory’s 89-year-old grandfather led their ceremony, and it was the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen!! He started the ceremony talking about how Mallory has always been so special. He watched her grow up, see adventures, achieve great things, and he summed it all up with the words “we are just so proud of you.” Cue the tears!!!

Mallory and Ian, I can’t thank you two enough for inviting me to capture these moments for you. You two are pure joy to be around, and it’s easy to see how well you two are loved by those around you! Enjoy your honeymoon in Hawaii!!
