The cobblestone streets of Charleston are always charming. So when Taylor and Rich requested the French Quarter as the backdrop for their engagement photos, I gave an easy yes. We decided on a morning session since I was in town to photograph a wedding at Lowndes Grove and had to photograph the rehearsal dinner that evening. As I made my way to Washington Square to meet then, I sipped a coffee from the sweetest French bakery on Broad Street. It was the perfect beginning to what would surely to be a perfect weekend!

We enjoyed a beautiful morning on Chalmers Street, wandering the cobblestone path and pausing to capture moments in front of the unique buildings. After only a short period of time, it looked like we would have some rain. But thankfully, the forecast remained unbroken for us and we captured all that we could! After Chalmers Street, we gathered again on Rainbow Row for some final portraits in front of the colorful homes where we ended the session.

Taylor and Rich are two people who make others feel warm and welcome. Their session is one that I consistently look back on with joy because I felt an instant friendship to them! Even though their original wedding plans had to adjust due to the pandemic, I’m looking forward to seeing them again and celebrating in Hilton Head this May!
