A Family Wedding in Auburn, AL
When I begin working with Mary Elizabeth and Matt for their Auburn wedding, I knew that it would be a family affair with unique, personalized details. Mary Elizabeth began the day at her family home. Her parents’ decor showcased their many family heirlooms, including these cross stitch samplers. I loved pairing her family roots with her wedding dress.
Their letterpress wedding invitations by Empress Stationery included a custom crest with Mary Elizabeth and Matt’s initials.
I loved the floral blush and light teal pajamas that Mary Elizabeth and her bridesmaids wore during wedding prep. Mary Elizabeth monogrammed each girl’s initials to their front pocket for an add southern touch! Before stepping into her dress, we celebrated the morning with a champagne pop on the front porch!
Mary Elizabeth caught a peek of Matt from her childhood bedroom as they prepared to share a first look! I loved this photograph featuring her stylish bow detail on the low back of her wedding dress.
After pre ceremony portraits at Mary Elizabeth’s family home, we made our way to Auburn First United Methodist Church for their wedding ceremony. The church is located in the heart of Auburn and feels like a true piece of the community.
After a beautiful ceremony, we all huddled in the church interior while a quick summer rainstorm blew through. In true southern fashion, iit added a dash of good luck to their marriage!
Moores Mill Club Wedding Reception
We traveled to Moores Mill Club for their wedding reception in their outdoor pavilion on the lawn with a tented dance floor. Guests were welcomed by lanterns lighting the entrance. And at each table, centerpieces featured an heirloom silver tray from Mary Elizabeth’s family collection. In addition to their napkins, their wedding cake by Sonshine Cakes featured their custom Cox monogram.
