Carole’s family has vacationed at Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris, Georgia for years. Naturally, it was the perfect place to welcome their loved ones for a weekend wedding. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the resort provided the serene, breathtaking backdrop they wanted, blending a calm retreat vibe with a lively party atmosphere.

Carole’s wedding dress was a stunning A-line satin gown by Essence of Australia, allowing her to create multiple looks throughout the day. For the ceremony, she paired her gown with an off-the-shoulder sash and her great-grandmother’s vintage veil, adding a touch of family history to the occasion. Later, she transformed her look for the reception by removing the sash and adding an oversized satin bow at her hip—a playful yet elegant touch that perfectly captured her style.

In addition to her veil, one of the most personal touches of the day was Sam’s creation of Carole’s custom ring, featuring her grandmother’s heirloom diamond—a symbol of love and family that will be cherished for generations.

The bridal party reflected the colorful and relaxed vibe of the day. Bridesmaids chose their own dresses in shades of pink. They experimented with soft patterns and textures that added a unique, personalized element to the celebration. Sam stood out in a sharp blue suit. His groomsmen complemented the light, airy aesthetic in taupe suits.

The Design

Floral designers Navy and Jay brought Carole’s vision to life with a bold and beautiful palette. They transformed the rustic picnic pavilion into a modern, elegant dining space with sweeping mountain views. A mix of wooden estate tables and round, linen-covered tables were adorned with petite compotes filled with rich, vibrant florals in oranges, pinks, corals, fresh greens and clean whites. They included subtle black accents to add contrast and anchor the design. The result was a celebration that felt both timeless and refreshingly modern. Candles ran the length of each table, enhancing the warm, inviting atmosphere. Bentwood chairs added a modern touch while ensuring guests were comfortable throughout the evening.

The day was a perfect reflection of Carole and Sam: warm, vibrant, and full of joy. It felt complete, set against the stunning backdrop of Brasstown Valley Resort and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
