Mary Elizabeth and Matt are planning a warm, August wedding this year in Auburn, Alabama. We’ll be enjoying the sunshine together soon with cocktails in hand and dancing away to a wonderful band soon! But in the spirit of balance, the world decided to give us a cold, winter afternoon for their engagement portraits at Meadowlark 1939!

Anyone in Georgia knows that the weather can be unpredictable. Granted, we know that planning a session in December means it will be a little chilly, but we were given a cold winter day. Even so, Mary Elizabeth and Matt dealt with the weather perfectly. They were perfect sweethearts, bundling up while we captured their love in each portrait. We even got to include their two pups, Tiger and Pearl Ann!

I’m excited for their wedding late this Summer so we can enjoy the warmth together. Mary Elizabeth and Matt, thank you for braving the cold with me!

*I have to give Matt’s mother so much credit for joining us and taking care of their sweet pups while we took portraits around the grounds. She was a real trooper!
