After a whirlwind 2020, I’m taking a little extra time for rest and cheer during this season. This year has been one for the record books in many ways. I’ve had the opportunity to photography many incredible weddings, even if they didn’t turn out quite like we planned this time last year. And through all of the ups and downs, I’ve decided to spend a little less time in my office this season.
Wow. What a year!
Throughout the pandemic (and all that came with it), I’m so lucky to say that LWP is ending the year well. This year has not been easy or simple. Many industry vendors like myself are stretched thin. We’ve had to pivot, learn, grow and force ourselves to look positively at tough situations. I’m ending the year feeling stronger as a business owner, but also deeply thankful for the people who surround me in my business.
My success is largely due to the incredible couples and clients that I get to work with. Not only have my couples this year been extraordinary in their grace towards me as a business owner, they’ve approached all of the chaos of wedding planning during a pandemic with kindness and joy. I have consistently counted my blessings this year that I get to work with incredible people. I am so thankful for the love and kind words sent my way!
While I look into a 2021 that is full of rescheduled weddings as well as new ones to celebrate, I believe a bit of rest is needed so that I can prepare for the season ahead. I plan to spend Christmastime baking, watching cheerful movies and finding more quality time with Garrett…as well as monitoring my inbox from time to time. If you care to follow along, you can do so over on my Instagram!
Thank you for all of your support this year! It’s been a wild one, and I sincerely hope that 2021 is a little more easy-breezy. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

P.S. Stay tuned for some end of the year posts to celebrate all of the wonderful LWP couples who got engaged and married this year!
