Mary and Eric’s newborn session with their baby girl, Sara, was so sweet! I photographed Mary and Eric’s maternity session at their house a few months back. At home sessions are personal and in my opinion, vulnerable. A home is an incredibly personal space, so photographing it is like peering into your private life. Getting to be in Mary and Eric’s home and seeing their interactions with Sara was priceless. Seeing the love between Mary, Eric and Sara was unbelievably special. The smiles on all of their faces were pure bliss! One of the best parts about at home sessions is the lack of pressure everyone feels. Usually, picking outfits comes more natural, as well as the motions of the shoot. It’s comforting staying within the walls of your home.
Baby Sara’s room was decorated as an ode to Paris. The light pinks and gold accents added a femininity to the space and mixed well with the dark windows. I loved the Parisian prints on the walls. It is truly a little girl’s dream room! I’m so excited to see Mary and Eric excel as parents and can’t wait to continue photographing their milestones.
