Capturing Cam and Erona’s New Life in Their Beautiful Home

This summer, I had the pleasure of photographing Cam and Erona’s newborn session with their baby boy, Carson. They recently moved back to Senoia, Georgia, to be closer to family, and our session took place when Carson was 2 months old—just in time to capture this sweet new stage in their lives.

The couple’s two huskies, Bowers and Steel, made an appearance too! I always love including pets in family sessions, as they add so much personality to the photos.

For this at-home session, we worked with the best natural light available, using just a few rooms in their new home. Erona has such a great eye for design, creating lovely, peaceful spaces despite having recently moved in. For newborn sessions, I typically look for two or three well-lit areas. In Cam and Erona’s home, we used their main bedroom and nursery. I especially loved the neutral walls, which added a clean, timeless backdrop to their photos.

These in-home sessions are some of my favorites because they allow families to feel comfortable and relaxed. It’s an intimate way to capture life as it is, right in the spaces where they spend the most time.
