Alexis and Will, y’all are just two peas. This happy couple gracefully stepped in front of my camera on a cool, February afternoon for a session that I’ve dreamed of doing for so long! I found this cute, pink bicycle with a basket on front. And I thought, “hey, that would look really pretty full of flowers with a happy couple next to it!” Thus, this engagement session editorial was born!
I asked my friends Megan of Jolie Artistry and Jackie of Blooming Hites to jump on board, and they happily said yes! Megan created such a cute look for Alexis that had all of us wanting to rock ponytails again. Alexis pulled together her look with a yellow blouse that featured a front tie, a white skirt, and of course, white Keds. She looked like a modern sixties darling!
Will wore a simple and stylish outfit of grays and blues that matched the scenery around him. He looked so sharp! Most guys aren’t fond of portraits, but I knew that Will would be different. Alexis is an incredible photographer, so I knew that Will was prepared for the session!
We finished off Alexis and Will’s look with the pink bicycle…and added flowers by Jackie! She artfully created a bouquet of wildflowers to fill Alexis and Will’s basket. The mixture of pinks, greens, purples and yellows was the most colorful display! And the look was the cherry on top of a perfect session.
These are some of my favorite engagement portraits that I’ve taken to date. They embody everything I love about this season of life, the joy of falling in love and the adventure my couples embark on together. Alexis and Will, thank you for being perfect models, and congratulations on your engagement! You two are in for a fun ride!
