Chinese Tea Ceremony at Summerour Studio
Allene and Andy’s Chinese Tea Ceremony took place in the upstairs area of Summerour Studio. Their families hung decorations and prepared tea and custom macarons for the group to share. Two by two, their relatives took a seat, ready to be served tea. It was incredible getting to be a part of this tradition! The act of service and respect Allene and Andy showed their grandparents, parents and aunts and uncles was beautiful. And I know that each family member cherished this time together.
Summerour Studio is reminiscent of an Italian villa nestled in the heart of Atlanta. From the ivy climbing up the walls to the tall trees, the outside of the venue is romantic while the interior is edgy and industrial. It’s the perfect blend of city and country aesthetics!
Finally, Allene and Andy got married on the steps inside of Summerour followed by portraits in the alley next to the venue. I always have fun shooting in a variety of settings, but the way the light hit this area of the venue was gorgeous! Soft, romantic and industrial. What a fun mix!
