When I was seeking inspiration for my wedding style and aesthetic, I researched high and low for unique, thoughtful ideas. The task felt daunting. I knew that Pinterest, while lovely to some, wasn’t my answer for consistency in what I was looking for. The platform is extremely diverse, and I knew that I wanted to gather inspiration that felt more curated to my style.

Thankfully, I found several online wedding publications that spoke to my creative soul. I turned to these professionals for tips on my wedding aesthetic, and now, I look to them for inspiration in my photography.

My Top 5 Wedding Resources for Inspiration

01. Style Me Pretty

Style Me Pretty is the perfect inspiration blog for soft, feminine weddings with a focus on a European aesthetic. I love scrolling through the endless articles of inspiration and real weddings featured on SMP from all over the world. Every week, I find historic castle wedding venues, destinations elopements on Lake Como, and strategies to bring all of that traveling nostalgia home to wherever you are. Style Me Pretty also thrives on thoughtful details and stories. They celebrate tradition in a modern, elegant way that is always breathtaking to see!

02. Ruffled Blog

To me, Ruffled Blog is the enthusiastic friend at your bachelorette party. She’s endlessly stylish, outgoing and bold. When I go to Ruffled, I’m looking for inspiration for weddings that have bold STYLE and aren’t afraid to ruffle a few feathers. Ruffled captivates my spunky side without pushing me too far outside of my comfort zone. If you’re looking for wedding inspiration that is bold, colorful and a little wild, then Ruffled is your go-to!

03. Wedding Sparrow

Oh, Wedding Sparrow. Thoughtful, curated, heirloom weddings with an emphasis on film photography. Wedding Sparrow gives me all of the quiet, European vibes that I love to get lost in. When I scroll the pages of WS, I’m captivated. I love the work they primarily showcase. 90% of their inspiration is captured through film photography, and I’m always drawn to it.

04. 100 Layer Cake

Hey, hey DIY fans! 100 Layer Cake began as a DIY haven for those with endless style-game wanting to level up their weddings. But it has morphed into a vault of inspiration for anyone planning a celebration. They cater events of all kinds, and they have a subset of 100 Layer Cake called 100 Layer Cake-let that’s all about family inspiration. Nurseries, baby showers, and decorating your home all fall under the umbrella of what 100 Layer Cake is all about: Celebration!

05. Green Wedding Shoes

This one is for my spunky couples! Green Wedding Shoes is for the couple who paves their own path. GWS is fashionable and compelling. They provide endless inspiration for couples who crave something different. Pampas Grass, dried florals, colorful wedding dresses, and unique getaways fill the pages of Green Wedding Shoes.
