Wedding ceremony at a reflection pool at Meadowlark 1939 with a white floral arch

Intimate Wedding at Meadowlark 1939 | Hannah & Won

Intimate Wedding at Meadowlark 1939 | Hannah & Won

Hannah and Won’s Meadowlark 1939 wedding was filled with many beautiful details. But the emotional moments between family and friends are what made this day special, and their thoughtful commitment to their family and friends reminded me that the purpose behind a wedding day isn’t the production. It’s love.

A Meadowlark 1939 Wedding

In a unique way, Hannah and Won’s wedding brought me joy, hope and purpose during a difficult time. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the past few months have been difficult for many. Hannah and Won, like most Spring couples getting married, were faced with postponing their wedding to keep their loved ones safe. Several of my couples had to reschedule their weddings, as well. This was awful for them and tough to navigate as a wedding photographer, but it opened up the opportunity for me to capture Hannah and Won’s first wedding day!

Hannah is my sweet bride, Patricia’s, older sister. I photographed Patricia and Andrew’s wedding last November, and through their wedding experience, I met Hannah and Won. Unfortunately, I was already booked for their original wedding day. But through a kind gift from Patricia, I was able to capture their Savannah engagement session last fall. I instantly fell in love with them and their kitten, Georgia!

After their session, I believe we all were sad that I wouldn’t be able to share in the joy of their wedding. Then the pandemic happened. Their wedding was rescheduled. So was mine. And they decided they didn’t want to wait for the Fall. Instead, they chose to celebrate with a small, intimate wedding ceremony with 10 close family and friends. In the silver lining, I became available to photograph their small, intimate wedding at Meadowlark 1939. I love seeking positivity in all situations, and their sweet ceremony brought me so much joy!

Hannah and Won, thank you for inviting me into your lives. i wish so many blessings upon both of you and I can’t wait to see how your lives continue together!

Hannah and Won wrote letters to all of their guests. Each one was unique and thoughtful – I received one, too!

I'm LAURA

welcome to my journal

This is where I love sharing recent weddings and sessions, my travels, and life with my husband, and our three pets. When I'm not capturing a wedding day, I'm often enjoying the outdoors with Garrett, playing with our pups, or finding a new place to call home for the weekend. My passion is telling love stories, and I hope I get to fall in love with telling yours.

let's meet!

North Beach was the perfect location for Nicole and Rob's Tybee Island session. While they played with their pup, Lucy, I simply followed. We ran together on the sand, not worrying for once about dirty hems or windy hair.

Christie and Brian strayed from traditional southern clichés and played into the modern lines and motifs of Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta throughout their wedding design – from their paper to their florals.

I was honored to be able to capture my second photographer's sweet family for her birthday and Mother’s Day present. We played on the grounds of Meadowlark 1939 and came away with the most lovely photos of her and her family.
